The growth of the market is also constant for the years to come with an annual rate of + 16.9% between 2019 and 2023, when the devices shipped will be 1.6 billion, double the current forecast. According to IDC, the challenge facing manufacturers is to try to create a real ecosystem between the various devices, thanks also to additional services.
Given the spread of Google and Amazon devices in 2018, Idc also expects Apple to be able to gain more market share in this sector.
The smart home market also has room for growth in Italy.
