The future is in "spoken navigation"
More and more advanced chatbots that will allow us to order "by speaking"
Chatbots are virtual software that interact with users, generate automatic responses, answer questions and more.
The latest virtual assistants of computers and smartphones are becoming more and more "human", more and more "intelligent". But real progress goes beyond all this, that is, trying to surf, get information, order a pizza, a hotel directly by “talking or chatting” with sites or apps.
On Telegram there are hundreds of these Chatbots that give information on the weather, international news. Also Facebook together with KLM is pushing towards this service; through Messenger, the company will send its customers the boarding pass and all the flight information.
Inaugurating the Build 2016 conference, number one Satya Nadella has launched chatbots via Skype: on the communication platform, companies will be able to be present with their own account to respond to user requests. Not only will information be given but, for example, you can order pizza or book a hotel room. What was previously done with a special, impersonal app, will soon be able to do "chatting" with a more advanced virtual assistant. According to rumors of the Wall Street Journal, they will be virtual subjects designed to receive live chat questions, scan the web in search of an answer and provide it quickly and concretely.
The system is not perfect for now but it is a big step towards the future.
