«The US government is loosening its grip on Huawei. The Chinese company obtains a "90-day temporary license that partially restores licensing requirements and policies under the Export Administration Regulations." It can be read in a document from the US Department of Commerce.
Under the license, the duration of which could be extended, Huawei will be able to purchase American products and services to keep the smartphones already on the market operational, and existing networks and equipment, including software updates and security 'patches'. The license does not cover the purchase of US components for the creation of new products.
The temporary license applies to contracts signed with US companies, before May 16, by Huawei and its 68 affiliates which, on May 16, ended up on the US trade blacklist. "
