The dreaded cryptolocker: now it also arrives with the Pec
Even Certified E-mail is in the crosshairs of the most feared telematic virus on the web.
The Cryptolocker, of the Ransomware family, is one of the most powerful computer viruses today: it is able in a few minutes to encrypt all your files to finally ask for a bitcoin payment as a ransom to get them back in the clear.
Until today we could see it in the classic email, counterfeited to perfection by posing as couriers, or alleged suppliers who ask to download the invoice or the parcel track, thus activating the powerful virus. Unfortunately, once the attachment is opened, the virus begins to encrypt all the files on the computer or the entire network, forcing the victim to have to pay to redeem the documents.
For a few days, however, these emails have been arriving on Certified E-mail, which until now we considered safe, needs to be checked more than before.
Concluding: Always, always, always check the sender of emails posing as "authorities" (Enel, Sda, Poste Italiane, Ups, DHL, banks), especially when they say there is an attachment "for you", or invite you to click on some links.
