Why advertise?
What is advertising for? why do you need to communicate?
Advertising is the soul of commerce… investing in it determines an important step for all those who want to make their reality and their products known.
Advertising communication is born and goes hand in hand with the economic, social, political and cultural needs of a country.
An advertised product costs more than one that hasn't used an advertising campaign for the promotion.
So why advertise?
Advertising communicates the product and the brand.
For example, if we have two products of equal quality for sale, but one of the two has invested in an advertising campaign on the Internet, on radio and TV and in magazines and newspapers, while the other only provides for distribution to retailers and the creation of a packaging created by the owner's nephew who dabbles with Photoshop as a hobby, the consumer will always be led to buy the first product.
Why does this happen?
The consumer knows everything about the first product because advertising and communication have explained to him what it is, what it is used for and what its main qualities are. He has been bombarded with messages that have introduced him to the product and reactivated his latent desires, so he is more likely to buy it because, if the advertising has been effective, he trusts.
The other, on the other hand, is an unknown product, one among many. Maybe the quality is equivalent, or probably even higher, but if the final consumer is not aware of its value, it will be less incentive to buy it.
Communication and advertising therefore serve to communicate the winning qualities of a product. The cost is higher because the company has to increase the marketing budget, but this turns out to be a profitable investment.
Not advertising means doing a lot of work for nothing because the sales potential of a product is reduced.
